Can you sing? Did you ever sing? Would you like the chance to sing with a friendly groupwho can help you find that singing voice you thought you had lost? If you would, the Kevock Choir may be for you.
Based in Lasswade, Midlothian with members from a wide area round about, the Kevock Choir is one of Scotland's leading mixed-voice choirs. It has performed on various forgeign tours, regularly appeared at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and made numerous recordings and broadcasts. Highlights of each season are the carol concerts in the Queen's Hall, Edinburgh and the Annual Concert in April in The Usher Hall, Edinburgh.
Our season starts in September and we're looking for new voices in all sections. You don't need to read music, just take a voice test. If you'd like a chance to sing a varied and constantly changing repertoire - from Bruckner to Beatles - in concerts mostly in aid of good causes, give us a call.
We practise on Tuesday evenings (7.15pm - 9.30pm) from September to May, in Lasswade High School - not far from the A720 City Bypass. We don't just learn music - by popular demand we have brought in a voice tutor to improve our singing technique. So don't feel that if you haven't sung for a long time, you'll be lost.
NO COMMITMENT OFFER - Come along and try the practises with no obligation to stay.
